Of all the egg donor Children’s Books I have read, this is the simplest, straight forward one I have found. I have read several others and the stories can be odd, complicated and confusing. I recommend this book to for a simple and clear message for children.
As a therapist, I would highly recommend this book to anyone involved in egg donation. Julie Marie creates a beautiful example of how to explain her family’s story to her child. It’s a wonderful way to start the conversation early with kids and allow them to feel comfortable asking questions. An essential tool in a parent’s toolbox!
This is a very sweet story and a helpful tool to open a dialouge with your child about egg donation. The story is simple, relatable and illustrated with fun images of a happy bear family. Portrays a clear message to your child that they are a blessing, and are loved by mom and dad from day one.
Very good for the 4-8 year old level. Good illustrations too. Easy to understand. Seemed like it was our story. 5 yr old liked it and understood it.
As a therapist specializing in infertility, I would absolutely recommend this book. It’s a sweet, understandable story that uses age appropriate language.
Author Julie Marie has written a wonderful, happily ever after children's picture book that explains how a lovely family was formed with the help of egg donor assistance but in terms that a child can understand and re-tell to friends. The rhyming and rhythm are enjoyable to read, and the illustrations are so sweet and touching. Just lovely. Highly recommend.
